Project 6 actresses looking for an author is a program platform launched in 2020 by actresses Tara Rosandić, Erna Rudnički and Marija Kolb with the aim of sensitizing society to the problem underrepresentations of women in the media.
The project brings together artists, public and private theaters, artistic organizations, cultural institutions, vocational, social and other associations and educational institutions with the intention of connecting the artistic and professional departments, to influence representation and a greater presence of women in the performance media. The project coordinator is Kotar theater, and permanent partners are Urania, Drame.hr i Vox Feminae.
The main program project "6 actresses looking for an author" called “Reading HER” deals with the collection of domestic contemporary plays that focus primarily on women, the presentation of selected plays, the organization of public stage readings and the organization of professional lectures.
The project is inclusive in nature and encourages collaboration and networking of artists working in the field of performing and audiovisual arts with the aim of creating a creative environment that will encourage new collaborations, open space for artists to present, encourage critical attitudes and raise awareness of women's underrepresentation in the media.
In 2020 and 2021, they were successfully held 2 cycles “Reading HER” under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Media, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the social cooperative "Pružimo ruke" and Erste Bank. "NJE readings" were organized and conducted three times in Zagreb, Rijeka, Karlovac, Varaždin and Bjelovar.
